Recommended Power Inverter for Deep Cycle Battery on Horse Trailer

Question:

Im planning to install a deep cycle marine battery to my bumper pull horse trailer. Would like to use the battery to power fantastic fan thats located in the tack/dressing room of the front of the trailer, and also to power water pump when using my ecoline portable propane instant hot water heater. Im realling new to this who trailer and camping thing, so Im not sure what type of inverter I need to purchase. Thank you.

Your fantastic fan will run off 12V power, so it draw power directly from your deep cycle battery and does not need an inverter. If your water pump requires 110V power instead of 12V, then you can use the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter - 12V - 800 Watts # 34280175 for that water pump and probably some other electrical needs at the same time. You can use the alligator clips on your battery or you can use the Bulldog Winch Power Lead Extension for ATV/UTV Winches - 6 Gauge - 12' Long # BDW20304 to hardwire it to your battery. If you want a quick release you can use # BDW20305.

If you have other things you want to run off the inverter power, a larger inverter may be required like # WC3720.

Finally, I recommend ensuring you have the 12V power connection to your deep cycle battery from your tow vehicle so you can get that maintenance charge while towing. If you need a significant battery charge, then I recommend the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger - Dual Input - DC to DC - 12V/24V - 25 Amp # 331-BCDC1225D which will boost that charge while driving to give a charge to your depleted battery versus just a maintenance charge.
