Can K-Source Tow Mirrors with Heat Function Install on 2006 GMC Sierra without Heated Mirrors

Question:

Im considering a set of the K Source folding towing mirrors for my 2006 GMC Sierra 3500 duramax pu. The stock features include power and signal, but not heated, Would there be a way to wire in the heat feature? I have a rear window defroster I was thinking of tying it into. Would a live wire to the pin connection OR directly to the mirror work?? Thanks.

We get this question quite a bit and our aftermarket mirror manufacturers state that the only way to activate the mirror heat function on a vehicle that came without it would be to try and check with the manufacturer of the vehicle but most likely it's just not possible to have the harness added.

You can still install heated mirrors on truck that didn't have the feature and the current functions you have now would work great but there isn't a way we can recommend to activate the heat if it's not there. This set part # KS62093-94G is a confirmed fit for your 2006 GMC Sierra 3500.
