Compatibility of Bike Rack and 24 Inch Trailer Hitch Extension and Swagman Bike Rack
Question:
could you fabricate a shank for me that is 24 inches with a threaded hitch pin hole and two 5/8 holes to attach to a swagman bike rack.

Expert Reply:
We don't do any custom fabrication and that length would be too much torque for your trailer hitch with your bike rack bouncing and swaying. I can't recommend you install a bike rack on the end of an extension that length even on a custom build unless you were to use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension for SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Receivers - 24" Long # TLE1524 which will use dual hitch receivers and chains for stabilization. With that system you could use the Swagman E-Spec 2 Bike Platform Rack # S94FR for example as it is rated for travel trailer, motorhome, and 5th wheel trailer sway which would be similar with that extension.
