Recommended 3 Inch to 2 Inch Hitch Reducer with 5/8 Inch Pin Hole
Question:
I have a 3in receiver hitch with a 3/4in pin hole on the back of my RV. I have a tow bar with a 2 inch shank and 5/8 pin hole. I know I can purchase the 3-2 Curt reducer #C45408 that has a 3/4 inch pin hole. But what about the tow bar shank with the 5/8 pin hole? Options?

There is a solution for you, the Buyers Products 3" to 2" Receiver Tube Adapter # 337RTA302 which has a 5/8" hitch pin hole and would give you the security you need.
Using the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" # C45408 with its 3/4" hitch pin hole would not be ideal because the conflicting hitch pin diameters would mean your tow bar would be loose inside the receiver.
I have added a link to a video review of the Buyers Products adapter for you to check out as well.

Your curt#337RTA302 literature says no extension but it looks like it does extend beyond my 2020 F250s hitch by a few inches. Wouldnt this reduce my weight distribution hitchs capacity by almost half? I could go with a curt C45408 if it had a 5/8 hole size instead of 3/4. In summary, I dont want further extension since Im already using your 8 ball hitch setup and I dont want my rig to rattle. Solutions please.

Thanks for responding. My retailer is Zachs Trailer in Jasper, GA. Im currently using your Curt Replacement Shank that is 18 inches long. Im using it so that I can lower my tailgate without having to disconnect my travel trailer. I guess Ill buy your #337RTA302 from them tomorrow. Thanks
