Is There Typically a 40 Amp Fuse that Protects 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of 7-Way
Question:
Can you tell me if there is a in-line fuse on the bat + wire that powers the trailer. I have power at 40amp fuse

Without knowing what vehicle you have it's harder to say, but if your 12 volt accessory circuit on your 7-way came from the factory wired up then there would be a fuse under the hood that protects this circuit and 40 amps is the common amperage rating for it.
