How can this light be mounted to the exterior of an RV so it stays attached to the RV has you drive at highway speeds ?

The Solar Powered LED Porch Light for RVs part # DG0115 is not designed to be mounted on the exterior of an RV at highway speed. However, if you were to secure the light using a wall stud on your trailer then I don't see an issue doing so though I do recommend you go to the hardware store and obtain two 2" sheet metal screws at the minimum to secure the base. Once you find the stud you will want to install one screw leaving about 1/8" between the wall and bottom of the head to slide the light up onto and then the other screw at the top can be ran down flush to secure the light base to the exterior wall.
If you have trouble finding the studs on your trailer then there are metal stud finders you can buy but the most effective way would be to just push on the exterior panels until you find an area that is very stiff and there is more than likely a stud somewhere behind there.
