LED Replacements for 1157 Type Light Bulbs for Tail Lights

I have a small utility trailer equipped with 2 tail lamps that use 1157 bulbs, is it possible to replace the 1157 bulbs with LED lamps and still use the same lamp assembly ?? Regards

Yes, you can replace your standard incandescent 1157 bulbs with brighter and more-efficient LEDs. These LED replacements will fit directly in place of the originals and give you more light, less waste heat and lower power consumption.

You always want to choose an LED's light color to match the color of the lens it will shine through. This is because light lenses are filters that block all colors except the color of the lens. For a red tail light application use a red LED like Putco # P231157R360. In the same way for an amber lens light use an amber LED like # P231157A360.
