For the 2001 Ford Ranger we have the Curt, # C31063. This hitch has a 350-pound vertical load capacity, a 9,000-pound line pull capacity, and a 3,500-pound gross trailer weight capacity. However, please remember to check the vehicle owner's manual and stay within the limits of the truck.
I have included a link to the installation instructions of this hitch for you.
