Will Testing Blue Ox Patriot with Vehicle Parked Apply Vehicle Brake
Question:
When checking system operation does the toad have to be in motion for the actuator to push down the brake pedal or should it actuate with the motorhome brake pedal applied sitting still in the drive way? Mine only actuated when in the set up mode and when you actually pull the the breakaway switch in the driveway.

Sounds like your Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR is functioning properly. This unit is designed to sense the amount of deceleration your tow vehicle is apply and put a proportional amount of braking on the toad. Since you are not moving when you tested it with the RV brake pedal it would not apply the vehicle brake pedal. Since you tested the override and breakaway and it worked you are good.
