Will the WiFi Hitch Backup Camera System, part # RVS-83112-WIFI Auto Shut Off
Question:
So in the q and a on the rvs-83112 model turns off after 15 min. So does the wifi model do that two. Also in the q and as it was asked if the camera could be left on while traveling down the road. And the answer that was given was yes. So that means I can look at my phone at anytime and see whats going on with the camera. Theyre different questions asking the same thing some in different ways and not getting the same answer in the q and a on both models. Im hoping this will answer my want. I hoping the wifi model to stay on all the time not shutting off after 15 min. so I can see the camera image at anytime and I want one I can move from the truck bumper so I can see the hitch up and see it going down the road and then move it to the camper bumper. Without having to use different cameras or systems to achieve one thing. Clarification on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I called my contact at Rear View Safety and asked about the WiFi Hitch Backup Camera System, part # RVS-83112-WIFI.
They told me that the system is not automatic and that it needs to be operated with the smartphone or tablet APP to turn on and off. Basically you'd want to leave it on while you are travelling so that you can view behind you when needed like you said you were interested in. The battery life is 8 hours also.
