Can Snow Chains be Used on Dry Pavement
Question:
I am in a mountainess area where there is snow/ice and clear pavement. Can the chains be driven on clear pavement without damage?

With tire chains installed it is always best to try and pull over if you get to dry pavement and remove the chains before proceeding. Driving with chains like the Konig Self-Tensioning Chains # TH02230K77 that you were looking at on bare pavement will cause them to wear down much faster and may indeed lead to damage.
Also keep in mind that with snow chains attached you really don't want to go any faster than around 30 to 35 miles per hour which won't be very fun on clear roads.
