Can # 32 Fuse on 2012 Chevy Equinox be Left In if Charge Line is Installed
Question:
I been told by several people that you dont need to pull fuse #32 as long as you install a charging wire, is that true?

Adding a charge line kit like the Roadmaster # RM-156-25 to your flat towing setup is a good idea to maintain the charge of the battery on your Equinox, but I still highly recommend pulling the #32 fuse as listed in the owner's manual. The main reason for this is that while the charge line will provide a good maintenance charge, it likely won't be enough to charge the battery up after being drained as a result of leaving the fuse in place.
To ease the process of removing the fuse you can install the Roadmaster FuseMaster # RM-76517. This allows you to remove the fuse by the flip of a switch from inside the vehicle.
We also always recommend following the instructions listed in the vehicle's owner's manual because if something were to go wrong it may not be covered under warranty if these steps were not followed.
I have attached an installation video on this charge line kit that you can use for reference.
