Is The Hands Free Liftgate Sensor Affected With the etrailer Hitch on a 2019 Honda Pilot

Hello, my 2019 Honda Pilot has a tailgate hands free sensor just below the center of the rear bumper. Will this trailer hitch interfere with the hands free sensor? etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 Item # e98840

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98840 while installed on your 2019 Honda Pilot WILL NOT negate the use of your hands free liftgate sensor. However, it will require that you place your foot on either side of the receiver tube opening in order to activate it which is not much of an issue at all for most. The trailer hitch manufacturers such as etrailer have begun to ever so slightly modify the trailer hitch designs in order to work with the hands free liftgate feature because it is such a popular option.
