Can Tuner be Removed After Configuring Settings for a 2007 Ford Explorer 4.6L Engine
Question:
Does the superchips su1845 tuner have to stay on board after you do a tune or can you disconnect it? I have a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with 4.6L 3V V-8.

The Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner # SU1845 can be removed, however this tuner is not compatible with your 2007 Ford Explorer with the 4.6L engine. Instead you will need to go with the Superchips Dashpaq Performance Tuner # SU1060.
This doubles as both a tuner and monitor so although you can take it off, since it has the monitor function as well it is one that you would want to leave in your vehicle. By keeping the monitor in your vehicle you can manage real-time MPGs on your dash to improve your efficiency as well as schedule and track routine maintenance.
