Bearings and Seal Needed for Lippert 8K Axle

Question:

Changed my 7000lb axels to 8000, both lippert. 2 axel 5th wheel. Also have your 7000lb kodiak disc brakes. Is there a larger outer bearing and race that replaces the standard one. Kodiak recommended one, but when I tried the race it was 40 thousands smaller.

From what I could find online it looks like the Lippert 8K axles use inner bearing # 25580, outer bearing # 02475, and a grease seal that has an inner diameter of 2.250". If you are using a Kodiak disc brake kit like part # K2HR712D for 7K axles then it would make sense that this wouldn't fit correctly as this kit comes with an outer bearing # 14125A which is about 0.040" larger as you have found.

If you have bearings for the 8K axle but you are using 7K rotors then all you need to do is use the bearing # 14125A and race # 14276 (2.717" outer diameter) instead of what you currently have and you are good to go!

I tried contacting Lippert with the info on your tag but they weren't able to supply me with any info in regards to what bearings and grease seal would fit.
