2013 Ford F-350 5th Wheel Trailer Weight Capacity

Question:

Hi. I have a 2013 F350 SRW long bed w/ the 6.7L diesel/3.55 axle and every available factory suspension upgrade 5th wheel prep, camper pkg, 11300 lb GVWR pkg, and snow plow pkg. I am considering a 5th wheel with a dry weight of approx 11000 lbs. Am I too close / likely to exceed the vehicles tow rating with this 5th wheel?

I looked up the towing capacity of your 2013 Ford F-350 and it should have a towing capacity of 12,500 lb, but if yours is limited to 11,300 lbs that would be a bit too close to tow a trailer with a dry weight of 11,000 lbs. You'd pretty easily be over capacity by the time it's loaded and ready to tow. Nothing we offer can allow you to increase your towing capacity too so you'd have to look into either a new truck or a new trailer.

Suspension enhancement like the part # SSR-103-47-2 that you referenced will help the vehicle have a better time carrying it's standard capacity but will not give you capacity beyond that.
