How Far Can A Vehicle Go with Bolt On Mods and Still Use Handheld Programmer Like Edge Evolution

Question:

How well will the evolution cts3 help with my 2010 f150 5.4 4x4? I have short tube headers, cold air intake, throttle body spacer, swapped my 3.55 gear ratios with 4.10 gears and running on 34 inch tires. Truck leans out in higher rpms, will the evolution help with this issue?

Mod-wise you are a little bit beyond what a programmer like part # EP59YR should be used with, especially since you said you are leaning out a bit at high RPMs. Basically, programmers like this allow you to use most of the basic bolt-ons on a vehicle but draw the line at any type of header/manifold change. For right now you need to stop driving the truck at high RPMs and get it to a tuner who can write you a custom tune. If you keep accelerating hard with your lean situation you are most likely going to cause internal engine damage.

If you still had factory exhaust manifolds the Edge # EP59YR that you referenced would work great and give you up to 22 additional horsepower and 48 ft lbs of torque.
