Can 2013 Honda Accord have Transmission Cooler Installed

Question:

I have a 2013 Honda Accord Sport 2.4L 4 cyl. I believe the transmission is a CVT. I have a 6x8 mini camper trailer 800lbs that I pull behind and I am planning a long trip out west. Someone recommended a transmission cooler. When I started to look into this, I noticed in another QandA on a different year accord that a transmission cooler was not recommended for the CVT transmission. I wanted to 1 confirm this 2 understand why and 3 perhaps understand if there is anything else I should consider prepping on the car prior to the trip. Thanks!

You should verify the transmission type you have in your 2013 Honda Accord. I did some checking and it looks like it could have came with a standard style automatic transmission which a cooler like the part # D13502 would fit or you'd have the CVT which a cooler is not available for. If you think you have a CVT transmission though you probably do as they have a totally different feel when driving as they don't "shift".

If you haven't picked out a hitch yet the Curt part # C11681 is the hitch I recommend as has a short install time and the round crosstube looks nicer than the square of the Draw Tite.
