Wiring 2016 Kia Sorento to use Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
How do I install ETBC7 if I plan on purchasing Bluetooth brake controller?

The Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 will not actually require you use that kit for installation.
What you would need to start with on your 2016 Kia Sorento instead is a 4-way connector (if you don't have one), either Wiring Harness # C56256 if your '16 Sorento does NOT have the factory tow package or Wiring Harness # C56332 if your Sorento DOES have the factory tow package. The install will be different depending on which harness you need and I have added links to videos showing each harness being installed on a 2016 Kia Sorento for you to take a look at.
With a 4-way installed, to use the Echo # C51180 you will need the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L which installs in a similar way to the # ETBC7 but you will not need to run the blue brake controller output wire. You will just need to connect the 12 volt power wire to the included circuit breaker and your positive battery terminal, and then attach your ground.
I have added a link to a video of a brake controller being installed on a 2016 Kia Sorento for you to take a look at so you can get familiar with the installation, though the video uses the # ETBC7 so it will not be exactly the same process. I have also added a link to a video review of the Echo # C51180 for you to check out.
