Maximum Height of Rhino-Rack Batwing Awning

Question:

What is the maximum mounting height of the awning in order for the 7ft telescoping legs to seat ground? I’m assuming there’s a downward pitch which might allow for slightly higher mounting height if needed. Is there pitch/angle restrains on the way the awning comes off the bracket or could I theoretically mount it at 8ft with one foot of slope? Ideas?

The Batwing Awning # RR33100 has a maximum height of seven feet on level ground, as per the longest height of the telescoping legs, and this is designed in order to accommodate for different heights of vehicles that it will be attached to.

The awning comes directly out of the bracket and while there are not any restrictions in terms of angle I don't recommend attempting to mount it in any extreme manner. Could you theoretically mount it so the awning slopes upward (depending on how the legs are positioned) a bit? Sure, in the same way it can be mounted so the awning will slope downward a bit but I don't recommend doing so and cannot see a practical use for this because if it's not level you are losing shade so it is a good idea to try and keep it level.
