How to Use Roof Rack Mounted Bike Rack with Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Basket
Question:
I have a Yakima load warrior basket on the roof of my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I wanted to add a single Yakima front loader bike rack to it. I currently keep a spare for my Jeep in top becuase it has a lift. But my question is....how many accessory bars do I need to add to basket to be able to mount a single front loader to it? Becuase I do not want to remover the fairing from it. Would I need two to keep the rack level? Or just one and it’s safe that it’s not level? Becuase the front and rear cross bars sit slightly lower than side bars which would make offset when adding a rack if you use only one accessory bar. Thank you very much for your time on this matter

Helpful Expert Reply:
With the Yakima LoadWarriors like the part # Y07070 what you'd do is use either the front bar of the basket as the front crossbar, or you can use the part # 8870042 so that you can use the fairing, and then use the rear rail edge of the basket for the rear crossbar with a bike rack like the Yakima FrontLoader # Y02103.
