Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Running Light Circuit Not Functioning
Question:
Hi there, gotta say I’m stumped. I’ve got a 2015 F250, when I hook it up to my tandem tilt deck 5th wheel everything but the running lights work. However, when I hook up to the tridem 5th wheel everything thing works like it should. Now I would assume the wiring is bad on the tandem. But then I take the bosses truck and hook it up to the tandem, then everything works, including the running lights. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

It has to be an issue on the tow vehicle's wiring. Most likely it's a dirty pin on the running light circuit of the truck's 7-way which is the pin in the 11:00 position. Try cleaning that pin off and you should see the circuit start to work again. I also attached a help article on troubleshooting trailer wiring for you to check out too.
