Can 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Tow a Fifth Wheel Trailer

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 V10 extended cab I need to put a fifth wheel hitch on it can that be done

Yes, you can install a fifth wheel hitch in the bed of your 2002 Dodge Ram 2500. You'd need a fifth wheel install kit first to mount the hitch. For that you'd want the Reese universal rail kit part # RP30035 which mounts to your truck frame with L-brackets and puts a set of rails in the bed of your truck.

Now if your truck has a short bed you'd need a slider hitch to give you the needed clearance around turns. For that you'd want the Reese 16k slider part # RP30051. Basically when you get into a parking lot you'll slide the hitch back and be able to have the turning clearance. If you have a long bed truck instead you'd want a fixed hitch like the Reese # RP30047. Long beds don't need the slider mechanism to get the needed clearance.
