Cushioned Pin Box Recommendation for 2019 Keystone Fusion Impact 359

Question:

I just bought a 2019 keystone fuzion impact 359. I believe it has an 1116 Trailair Rota-Flex pin box. I would like to replace the kingpin with one that gives me a little more room between the truck and trailer. Will the DM8250018 bolt up to my trailer? According to the dimensions on your website it shows that the mounting holes are all the same so I don’t see why it wouldn’t. But just wanted to make sure.

The mounting bolt dimensions are the same between a Lippert 1116 and a 1716 pin box so the # DM8250018 will bolt up either way. The difference is the length of the pin box. The 1116 is considered a medium length pin box and is about 7 inches shorter in length horizontally. The 1716 Demco Glide Ride will bolt up and could work well but it's going to be a bit longer. Some pin box manufacturers list 1116 and 1716 box replacements as the same part number but Demco does not. Added length could put more leverage on the trailer frame.

A better solution is the Trail Air part # LC155943 which is designed to fit your trailer specifically and has a better cushioning system.
