Will 20K Fifth Wheel Hitch Use Same Base Rails in 2012 GMC Sierra as 16K Fifth Wheel Hitch
Question:
I currently have a 16k reese slider hitch. I am going to a 20k hitch. Can I still use the same rails already installed.

If you are going from a Reese 16K hitch to a Reese 20K hitch you will almost certainly be able to use the same base rails that are in your 2012 GMC Sierra, though to confirm I would need to know exactly what you have in your truck.
Reese hitches fit industry-standard base rails like those that come with the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # RP50064-58.
I have added a photo which shows how industry-standard rails will measure so you can compare yours.
