Tips for Connecting Trailer 7-Way to Vehicle Wiring that Was Cut
Question:
2006, nissan, frontier. had the whole set up but someone cut the wires leading up to the 7 pin connector. the harness was only a month old too. so i have everything up to the rear harness but dont know what wire does what. i even have a new/used 7 pin connector.

Your best option is going to be to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test all of the wires on the vehicle side and connect them by function to the 7-way. You'll want to have a buddy apply the different taillight circuits as you apply turn signals etc. to identify them. I attached a 7-way diagram for you to check out as well to use as a guide.
