Low Clearance Tire Chain Recommendation for 2019 Subaru Outback with 225/60/18 Tires

Question:

I have been reading and researching chains for my Outback. I know what the manual says dont use unless you are legally required and then be very careful. So, if I ever have to put chains on at least have to carry in the car, are these the ones that will work best? The owners manual says use spring or other S rated, but those that I have reviewed seem to require too much clearance. What is the clearance required for these tire to wheel well, tire to body, tire to anything? Thank you

For your 2019 Subaru Outback with tire size 225/60-18 the tire chains I recommend are the Konig K-Summit chains part # TH02230K66 due to the recommendations you mentioned from your owners manual. These chains require basically no inner tire to frame clearance as they do not drape over the inside shoulder of the tire at all so they are perfect for you. When there's a clearance issue on a vehicle that would prevent tire chains from installing the issue is between the inner tire sidewall and the frame of the vehicle which is why these chains will work so well for you.

I attached a review video for this chain set for you to check out as well.
