Weight Distribution System Compatible with 2019 Arctic Fox 32A

Question:

I currently have a Pro Series RB WD 1,000# hitch set up. My new trailer 2019 Arctic Fox 32A specs are: hitch weight 838#, gross weight 10,400#, dry weight 8825#. I very rarely would tow with loaded freshwater tank. Am I good on the 1,000# spring bars or would the 1,200 be necessary?

The Pro Series Round Bar system rated for 1,000 lbs is compatible with your new trailer as long as the loaded tongue weight along with any cargo behind your rear axle of the tow vehicle are under 1,000 lbs. You are already pretty close to your capacity without adding any water or other supplies so you'd need to be really careful. Unfortunately there are not stronger bars compatible with your current system.

My recommendation is to use the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 14K GTW, 1.4K TW # RP66561 that is rated for total tongue weight (loaded trailer tongue weight plus cargo behind rear axle of tow vehicle) between 700 and 1,400 lbs. This would put you in the middle range and also provide you with excellent sway control. The added sway control is a really big upgrade. If you want a similar system to what you have then you will need the Reese Trunnion Bar # RP66542 rated for 1,200 lb total tongue weight.
