Recommended Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier for 2019 Subaru Impreza Sedan with Naked Roof

Hello etrailer friends. I have a new 2019 Subaru Impreza sedan with a completely naked roof. I need to add a roof rack system and a carrier for my kayak. can you make a recommendation for both? Thank you!

For your 2019 Subaru Impreza Sedan with a naked roof I recommend going with the Yakima JetStream System that consists of 50 inch JetStream Crossbars in Black # Y00425, the SkyLine Towers # Y53TR, and the Landing Pad Kit # Y00248.

I like this particular system because the longer 50 inch bars will give you some extra space in case you ever want to mount another accessory alongside your kayak (or just a second kayak) and their aerodynamic design will create an extremely quiet ride during travel.

I have attached a sample install video for this roof rack so you can get a better idea as to how everything attaches.

Then for a kayak carrier I really like the Yakima JayLow # Y04073 because its versatility allows you to secure either 1 or 2 kayaks depending on the orientation you use it in. It also features built-in ramps for easy loading and padded bases and arms to prevent any scratches on your kayak.

You can add the Yakima Same Key System Lock Cores # Y07206 to secure both the crossbars to your vehicle and the kayak carrier to the crossbars.
