Which Pins of Trailer 7-Way are Power and Ground
Question:
I have a portable fuel transfer tank with a 12 V pump attached to it. It also comes with a 7 way plug. I am using it with the Ford F250 And I would like to plug it into the trailer plug next to the bumper. There are two wires that come from the pump. What colors on the plug diagram should I use for the positive and negative?

Expert Reply:
On a trailer 7-way the pin in the 1:00 position is the 12 volt power circuit and the pin in the 7:00 position is the ground. See attached picture.
