Wire Colors for Installing Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock in 2018 Ford F-150
Question:
Are the color wires the same as older models Light Blue/Green for Unlock Gray/Brown for Unlock Are they still under the drivers side kick plate, as the older model i have wired previously. Thanks,

We've found that in general the wire colors listed in the install instructions for the Pop and Lock tailgate lock part # PAL8250 are accurate but it's a good idea to check with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993.
For your 2018 Ford F-150 the wire colors should be:
Grey/with a Brown(tan) stripe wire and the Light Blue/with Green stripe wire on the
drivers side. For the passenger side locate the Grey/with a Brown(tan) stripe wire and the Purple/with Grey stripe wire.
Also make sure you have plenty of light to see all the wires as some of the hues are harder to tell apart if the lighting isn't perfect.
