Orientation of Tie Rod Bracket and Shock Mount for Roadmaster Reflex Installed on 2019 Ford F-53
Question:
I am beginning to second guess myself, I have purchased RM-RBK22-RSSA and mounting bracket kit for my 2019 Forest River 33DS based on recommendations from the manufacture. I also installed per the instructions. However, after looking at many videos and screen shots of others installation of the same part I am beginning to wonder if I installed the kit correctly Per the instructions I installed the bracket on the passenger side. Per the instructions I installed the Roadmaster Ubolt bracket on the bar. My question is: Are the instructions correct? Is the orientation correct for my motor home? I see many pictures and videos of the spring being on top, under or behind the tie rod. Take the MFG instructions Note Figure 3 on the instructions, from what position is the photo taken? From the front looking back passenger side would then be on the left From the back looking front passenger side would then be on the right I would like to know for my application Standing in front of the vehicle looking back passenger is on my left what position should my spring be located?

I sent your question to the tech dept of Roadmaster and this is what they sent me:
The axle bracket can be located on either the driver or passenger side and the tie rod bracket (B802) can be located on top or bottom side of the tie rod.
Orientation of the shock is not important, the unit can have the spring pointed towards the center of the RV or out towards the tire. Similarly, the eyelets on the shock unit (where bolts hold it to the brackets) can be located on both the top or bottom of either bracket -- what ever places the shock unit closer to level and does not rub on another surface like axle/tie rod.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions
