Can Portable Supplemental Brake Systems Work in 1995 Jeep YJ without Working 12V Outlet
Question:
I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler yj. No currently working outlet. Seat does not move far. 8-10” to bottom of seat from floor. Will patriot work ?

Each of the portable supplemental braking systems, such as the Blue Ox Patriot you referenced, require a working 12V accessory outlet in your 1995 Jeep YJ. You should be able to use 12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332 for this as it will bypass a corroded or damaged 12-volt socket.
Another option is to use a system that is permanently installed in your vehicle such as the SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motorhomes with Air Brakes # SM99243 or the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 if your motorhome does not have air brakes.
Each of these will also require the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 to prevent your Jeep's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.
