How to Determine if Swagman Around the Spare Bike Rack Will Work on Trailer

2017 Aliner Ranger - Hello I purchased and Aliner from you all a couple of years ago. What are your thoughts on me attaching this behind the spare tire bike rack onto the rear bumper? Bike weighs 35lbs. Thank you very much

I can help you determine if the Swagman Around the Spare Deluxe 2 Bike Rack for RV Bumpers # S80501 will fit your 2017 Aliner Ranger, although we don't actually sell trailers here, just aftermarket parts like this bike rack.

To determine whether or not this rack will work on your RV you need to know what type of bumper it has as this rack will require your Aliner to have a 4 inch to 4-1/2 inch continuously welded steel square bumper and for your spare tire to extend no more than 12 inches from the edge of your bumper, which is likely considering spare tires are often not that wide.

So long as your Aliner Ranger meets those requirements, and your bike has a frame with a diameter no larger than 1-1/2 inches the Swagman Around the Spare Bike Rack # S80501 will work for you. It does have a 35 lb weight limit and please note that when using any hanging rack like the Swagman you'll need bike frame adapter bar # 64005 if your bike is dual-suspension or has a step-through frame. The bar will give those bikes a horizontal mounting point so they can be carried by the rack.

To add some security you may want to consider using Cable Lock # e98891, which you can use to lock the rack to your bumper and add another to lock your bikes to the rack and help protect your investments.
