Hitch Extender for Cargo Carrier with Lift

Question:

My aluminum cargo carrier on my truck keeps scraping the pavement and I need to give it a lift. I also use a 12inch extension so I can open my tailgate. The extension just extenuates the downward sloping. We went camping last year and we couldnt even get out of the driveway without somebody lifting it up while I backed out. I was thinking of using this one, but was hoping there is something a bit smaller with maybe a 4-6inch rise instead. A few years back I had wheel on the bottom of my 2inch hitch receiver so I wouldnt ground out my station wagon while entering a business. Something like that may work as well.

I couldn't recommend the use of the # RM-077-8 with your 12 inch extender as that would be way too long, but it's possible that this by itself would work for you. You'd end up with an extension of 10-3/4 inches instead of the 12 you have but it would give you a rise of 8 inches total.
