I spoke with my contact at TorkLift regarding the Space Dock 2" Receiver Adapter # TLA7900 and he said that there is not a locking mechanism built into the unit that secures it to the bumper as a theft deterrent. In theory if a potential thief had a ratchet set on hand the adapter could be unbolted and taken from the bumper but that would still take a decent amount of time, effort, and planning.
At this time there is not a separate part available that can be added to the adapter to serve as an additional anti-theft device.
