Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2018 Ford F-150 SuperCrew and Grand Design Reflection 150
Question:
We are thinking about purchasing a Grand Design Reflection 150 Series 5th Wheel it is equipped with a swivel pin box making it short bed friendly. I will be towing it with a Ford f150 XLT Super crew cab, 5 1/2ft bed, max tow and off road package, 3.5v6 engine. I understand with the swivel pin box I do not require a slider what is the recommended hitch for this setup.

In order to tow your Grand Design Reflection 150 that has a rotating pin box with your 2018 Ford F-150 SuperCrew that has a 5-1/2' bed I recommend using the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30047 with the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50087-58.
The Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch has a 16,000 lb weight capacity which will be plenty for your truck and best of all it has dual locking jaws. The dual locking jaws are going to do an excellent job of securing the kingpin and providing you with reduced chucking and jaring. It also comes with a lifetime warranty. The Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit as the title states is a custom fit so no drilling into the frame is required. The base rails and frame brackets are both coated in a durable powder coat and they come with a five year warranty.
If the rotating pin box you have is a Reese Sidewinder/Revolution then the 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for Select Series Fifth Wheels part # SWW-03 is also going to be needed to prevent the kingpin from pivoting inside the hitch head. I have attached install and review videos on the above products for you as well.
