Best Aero Roof Rack and Rooftop Cargo Box Fit for 2019 Honda Civic 2-Door Coupe

Question:

My 2019 Civic has no roof rack and needs one. It is the 2-door coupe with bare roof. I know its a smaller car, but is it still possible to use a plastic rooftop cargo carrier? I used to have a Thule one but its long gone and was way too big anyway. I could use one again possibly but not a super expensive one.

For your 2019 Civic 2-door coupe the roof rack I recommend is Inno's Flush Aero rack made of parts # INXB108-2, # INXS200 and # INK683. You may not know the Inno name but they are the major player in OEM roof racks for many popular vehicles like Subaru, Toyota and Honda. Their racks are well made and well priced.

This Flush Aero rack features aerodynamic wing-like cross bars that cut through the wind better than other shapes which means they will make less noise. The bars terminate in the rack's feet, which gives the setup a very clean original-equipment look, much like a far more costly dealer-installed roof rack. You can see the installation in the linked video which features a different Honda vehicle. I also included a photo showing the rack fully installed.

Since your coupe has a short roof the rack bar spacing will be a fairly close 20-inches between bar centers. Some of the larger rooftop cargo boxes will not work with this bar spread but one that does is Inno's 8-cubic-foot Ridge model # INBRA220R-BK. Based on your roof's 100-lb load limit once you account for the Ridge's 20-lb weight you'll still be able to load it with up to about 75-lbs of cargo.

If you do plan to use a rooftop carrier you might also consider a simple accessory step such as the inexpensive and lightweight Telesteps folding model # TE97FR which comes fully assembled and pops open to instantly give you almost a foot of extra reach to get to your cargo.
