Brake Controller Recommendation for 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Hi I will be towing a tear camper with my 2013 Subaru crosstrek, I am wondering what type of break controller I need and if there are any other adapters I need to hook it up

You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 118467.

From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.

The brake controller I recommend is the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 because this brake controller senses the amount of braking your tow vehicle is applying and puts a proportional amount of braking on the trailer's brakes. It also has a display that uses full words instead of codes that would have to be deciphered. It's our best selling brake controller because of how well it works, how reliable it is, and how easy it is to use.
