Weight Capacity of Blue Ox Base Plate Adapter Brackets for Demco Tow Bars

Question:

Is there a tow weight limit using this adapter? I need to dinghy tow a 2016 GMC Yukon XL Denali behind my RV. I have a Demco Excalibur tow bar but need to buy a Blue Ox baseplate since this vehicle has adaptive cruise control. Will this adapter allow me to tow up to the 10,000 pound rating of my tow bars?

I spoke with my contact at Blue Ox and he stated that the Base Plate Adapter Brackets # BX88310 that you referenced feature a 10,000 pound capacity. This is the case with all of their base plate adapter brackets. With this in mind you do not need to worry about utilizing the full towing capacity of your existing Demco Excali-bar Tow Bar when using the adapters.
