Are Cradles on Thule Hitching Post Pro 4-Bike Rack Adjustable
Question:
Hello, on TH934XTR Are cradles movable? and whats the distance between w adjacent cradles? what is the distance from the inner most cradle to the center of the hitch pin hole? Im trying to figure out if 1. I can fit my 4 adult bike on this 29in and 27.5in? 2. If the 29in bikes parts like tires or handle bars will hit the back of my 14 sienna once the bike is mounted on the innermost cradles? Thanks

Yes, the straps of the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR are adjustable and the distance between the arms, from outside to outside is 12-3/8".
In terms of the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rack, when we test fit this rack on a 2014 Sienna we found it measured approximately 5 inches from the rear of the vehicle to the closest part of the bike rack. I have added a link to a video of that test fit as well as a photo showing this rack on a '14 Sienna with a bike on it so you can get an idea of how the fit will be, though your handlebars may, of course, be wider than the bike shown. Unless they are extremely wide though it would be difficult to imagine them extending so far as to hit your van, and because they are adjustable there is not a specific width from the innermost cradle to the hitch pin hole.
Since this rack is 13-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the upright bar you can measure that distance from the center of the hitch pin hole on your Sienna to get an exact location of where the rack is going to sit, which should give you a very good idea of how close your bike's handlebars will be.
Your bikes 29 inch wheels should not be a factor in fit and so long as you stagger the bikes facing different directions the handlebars should also not be an issue.
Just keep in mind that when using any hanging rack like the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR you'll need bike frame adapter bar # TH982XT if your bike is dual-suspension or has a step-through frame. The bar will give those bikes a horizontal mounting point so they can be carried by the rack.
I also recommend using Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock # THSTL2 to lock the rack to your hitch and help secure your investment. I have added a link to video reviews of the bar and lock for you to check out as well.
