Sidewinder Wedge Removal and Custom Wedge Options

Question:

I currently have a Sidewinder with a wedge installed. I wont to remove the wedge, and put bolts back in. Is this all that needs to be done?

It sounds like you want to remove the wedge on your Sidewinder pin box. All that is required to remove that is to remove the bolts holding the wedge in place. It is simply two bolts and lock washers as the pin box has the integrated weld nuts. You will want to replace the wedge prior to using the Sidewinder as that is a key component to keep the function and not have dual rotating parts which would be extremely dangerous. If you are wanting to make the Sidewinder more like a traditional pin box you can do that by removing the wedge and adding bolts to lock the rotating turret in place.

If you are wanting a more custom fit wedge with your hitch, then I've linked the page to your options. If you need help, just let me know what hitch you have and I'd be happy to assist.
