Determining Towing Capacity when Using B and W Pintle Mounting Plate # BWPMHD14005
Question:
I have a 2018 Chevy 3500hd with CM brand SK model flat bed with 2inch receiver BandW rated at 18,500. If i use the BWPMHD14005 which is rated at 16000 GTW what will be my allowable tongue weight? I currently have a 4 hole pintle plate and i need to come up at least 2 more inches.

With towing capacities you are always limited by the lowest rated component in your towing setup. Since the B&W Pintle Hook Mounting Plate # BWPMHD14005 has a 16,000 lb towing capacity and is lower than your flat bed capacity it would be the capacity you'd need to abide by between the two. You should also check the towing capacity of your truck and make sure not to exceed that figure either.
We have the bolt on Pintle Hook part # C48210 too which has more capacity than you'd ever need at 20k as well.
