Left Hand Trailer Stop/Turn Signal Lights Flicker

Question:

The trailer tail lights work as it should along with the righthand indicator but the lefthand indicator and the brakelights flicker together. What could be the reason for this..?

The issue you described of your left hand brake/turn signal lights flickering is most likely attributed to a poor ground. In order to correct this you will want to remove the ground for the left hand tail light, sand down the mounting surface, and then reattach. If the light grounds though a single wire then run that wire to the same ground used for the right hand tail light as well as the trailer connector. If this does not fix your issue then try cleaning out the pins inside your trailer connector with some electrical contact cleaner and then applying some dielectric grease like part # 11755 before mating them back together.
