Do RV Gray and Black Water Tanks Require Heaters  

Question:

My heating pads for the black and gray tanks are connected to a toggle switch inside the rv, I turned them on for two hours to see if they worked, as we are heading to michigan, no heat! its a therma heat sl-st7s5g-16g does this pad have a thermastat built in it?

The good news is that you don't have to have heaters on black and gray water RV tanks. The fresh water needs a heater as you can't put any antifreeze in it. But since you don't have to worry about poisoning the water in the black and gray water tanks you can use RV antifreeze in them and not have to worry about them freezing.

That said, the ThermaHeat tank pads do not have thermostats built into them.
