Does Factory Hardware on 1999 Dodge Ram Need to Removed for Front Mount Hitch Installation
Question:
looks to be a really super hitch but I had it 90 on but could not get in place because of the 9/16th bolts. I could not get the bolts out. Do these bolts need to come out. Instructions dont say. I can have a friend cut them off. Just want to make sure before we do that. Those bolts are in the frame close the front bumper. Thanks

Are the bolts you're referring to in the same hole the hitch uses for its front fasteners? Sometimes they will be there from the factory but not always. If this is what you're referring to then yes they need to be removed to install the front hitch # 31604. If they're not in that location, can you send me a picture of the bolts you're referring to?
