Does 1992 Mercedes 400E Have Cabin Filter

Question:

How do I replace cabin air filter on my 1992 400 E . Took seals and cowl as much as could but couldnt see filters was able to se what looked like cover with clip beneath cowl I couldnt figure how to get off. Not seen in video I viewed on line. Have seen comments that the 300 E of that year didnt have them. Mechanic that service my car says his software says it needs replaced. He said they would look below SRS where blower is at if not below washer mother. I have noted marked decrease in air flow so thought filter replacement would be good but expensive for mechanic to do this. Can you help me with this issue? Thank you.

Some of the 1992 Mercedes Benz 400E models had cabin filters and other did not. If yours has them they are under the wiper motor and windshield cowling,right above the blower motor there is two black grilles look down there with a flashlight from a certain angle you can see them.

The # 3513719C that you referenced would be the correct filter for your vehicle.
