Does Yakima Fullback Trunk Bike Rack Fit 2012 Toyota Prius V

Question:

Thanks for the information and expecially the picture. I will not go with the Yakima rack as I feel there may be to much doward pressue on the outer edge of the spoiler on the 2012 Prius V. The spolier is not mounted strongly and already wiggles so any additional stress may cause issues. I still need to carry two bikes with the Prius V (only one will fit inside) so what other options do you have? I have an old Thule for 4 bikes that requires a 2" hitch however I was told that a 2" hitch cannot be installed on the Prius V, only the 1 1/4" hitch. Is a reliable adapter available? Note I do not have any hitch at this time. Other options?

Yes, I checked with Yakima just now and they have confirmed the fit of the Fullback part # Y02634 on your 2012 Toyota Prius V with a spoiler. I attached a picture that shows the rack installed on a V just like yours with a spoiler.

If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.

Another great trunk bike rack options is the Hollywood Racks Over the Top part # HRF2 which will go totally over the top of the spoiler and not touch it at all. I attached a review video for this for you to check out as well. You would not be able to use a 4-bike rack designed for a 2 inch hitch with your vehicle.
