The adapter you need to convert the 4-way of your 2018 Ford F-150 to a 7-way is the part # 37185. This plugs right into the 4-way you have currently and gives you a 7-way with all of the trailer lighting functions active.

Now to control the trailer's brakes you'll need a brake controller. The brake controller I recommend is the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 because this brake controller senses the amount of braking your tow vehicle is applying and puts a proportional amount of braking on the trailer's brakes. It also has a display that uses full words instead of codes that would have to be deciphered. It's our best selling brake controller because of how well it works, how reliable it is, and how easy it is to use. The custom fit brake controller install harness you then need is the # 22292 which plugs into the port under your dash and then into the back of the P3.

The only thing left to do is to connect the blue wire from the # 37185 to the brake controller wiring that's present at the rear frame rail. If you check out the picture I attached you'll see where to find the brake controller install wiring on your truck to make this connection.
