Is There Benefit to Thule Xsporter Being Difficult to Attach to Truck Bed Rails

Question:

Because of the common hex configuration and the softness of the metal, the bolts used to secure the Xsporter base on the rails of my truck are tough to get on and off not counting that you have to stand on your head. I would be far easier to have something that can be fitted like the Inno folks do with their base. Its a lever connected to the head of the bolt that allows a very strong hand-tight approach to fitting these, vs. the awkward us of hex keys, underpowered hand tool or head-damaging pneumatics. Is it possible to replace the Thule standard issue with something like this?

I can certainly understand wanting to make the install and removal of a ladder rack like the Thule Xsporter part # TH500XT easier. That said, the upside to the way it installs currently is that it would be much more difficult for a thief to steal the expensive ladder rack. They would have to have the proper tools and possibly stand on their head like you mentioned.
